Smokin' Joe's Rib Ranch bbq gets all the attention, but if you're near Davis, Okla. and you're looking for good, honest home cooking, 77 Grill is a must-try.
The biscuits (available with gravy or in a sandwich) are ridiculously tall, fluffy and light. Everything is made in-house, so you're assured a fresh, flavorful meal.
The ladies working the griddle at 77 know their stuff. Order an omelet and you'll see how quickly they make work of grilled meats and vegetables and how skillfully they cook the eggs. I got the veggie omelet with jalapeño. It was absolutely packed with cheese and other fillings.
The hashbrowns were tasty, the eggs cooked perfectly to order, and if someone wasn't smiling, they were just too busy stuffing food in their mouths.
I was especially taken with the chicken fried steak, an Oklahoma staple that is all too often pulled frozen from a bag. Not at 77. It was easy to see this steak was freshly breaded and fried up on the griddle.
I can't wait to go back and try their lunch specials. One customer I spoke with told me 77 Grill is his first stop after leaving the house every morning. With food like this, I can see why. -

They serve you homemade bread! Excellent onion rings and hamburger. We went back the next day for breakfast wasn't so good the bacon was rubbery. Everything seemed to be freshly made which was neat. Maybe they were having a bad day on the bacon?

Doesn't look like much from the outside but I got a very tasty breakfast there. Comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff with food cooked in a kitchen area that you can see from your table. I recommend the biscuits and gravy.

Some good with more bad. Ordered for 5. Omelette and biscuit for one person was good. Omelette was well cooked and hashbrowns were crispy although EVERYTHING was greasy. Cinnamon roll had fake butter drizzled on it that ruined an otherwise decent roll. Country fried steak was rubbery and biscuit with this meal was burnt and hard. Only a couple bites were eaten and it was obvious that there was an issue but waitstaff didn't care. Burger was cooked well but had several grizzly bits in it that ruined it. Pancakes were cooked well. Nothing special and a little bland but edible. Coffee was good.
I don't recommend this place. -

My husband had breakfast, and he said the eggs were as good as he's ever had. My custom-made burger was unbelievably good. We will be back! Thanks to Yelp for letting us know about this place!
